The scope of application of short-path distillation:
Can replace conventional falling film evaporator, used for distillation, purification, concentration and decolorization of petrochemical and chemical products;
It is especially suitable for the distillation and refining of heat-sensitive and easily oxidized chemical industrial products; it can also be used for the distillation and separation of high boiling point products. Short path distillation is mainly used for the separation and purification of temperature-sensitive unstable compounds. Short-path distillation reduces the boiling point of the material by controlling the high vacuum of the system (1-10-mbar). The special structure of the evaporator controls the material to be continuous, fast, and quickly condenses and separates after passing through the heating surface of the evaporator in the form of a thin film; to achieve temperature sensitivity Separation and purification of substances. The residence time of the materials in the heated evaporator is usually only a few seconds, and the short-path distillation device is also suitable for high-viscosity materials.
Preparations before starting the short-path distillation:
1. Turn on the cooling water circulation pump first, adjust the temperature and then pre-condensate;
2. Fill the condensing column with liquid nitrogen in advance for short-path distillation. During the period, liquid nitrogen should be added in time if the liquid nitrogen is less than 1/2. Turn on the oil pump and adjust to the required temperature for preheating;
3. Turn on the rotor of the film wiper and try it out to see if its rotation is even and continuous, and secondly, listen to whether there is any noise in the film scraping sound. If any of the above abnormal conditions occurs, ask the person in charge of the instrument or the laboratory teacher to solve it;
