How to use a short path distillation kit
We are short path distillation unit manufacturers, we sell laboratory short-path distillation, which is made of high borosilicate glass and stainless steel, which can be used for evaporation and extraction of materials under vacuum conditions.
Preparation before starting:
Turn on the cooling water circulating pump first, adjust the temperature and then pre-condensate; fill the condensing column with liquid nitrogen in advance and pre-freeze, during which time the liquid nitrogen is less than 1/2, need to be added in time; turn on the oil pump and adjust to the required temperature to pre-heat; turn on Try running the wiper rotor. Firstly, see if its rotation is even and continuous, and secondly, if there is any noise in the film-scraping sound, if any of the above abnormal situations occurs, please turn off the machine and contact our after-sales service. We will help you solve it.
Operating procedures:
1. Install the feeder (screw the sampler clockwise), the first, second, and third-level receiving bottle, and turn on the cooling water circulation button;
2. Open the rotor of the film wiper and adjust to the specified speed (not exceeding 400 r/min);
3. Turn on the vacuum pump after the liquid nitrogen reaches the required level (not less than 1/2 of the volume of the condensing column);
4. When the pressure no longer drops, adjust the vacuum pump fine-tuning valve (not less than 0.5 mbar);
5. After the pressure is adjusted in place, turn the valve of the sampler counterclockwise to adjust the feeding speed;
6. During the operation of the equipment, the liquid can be added at any time through the feeder;
7. When the liquid volume in the feeder is about 50 ml and no more feeding, turn off the vacuum pump, call back the fine-tuning valve, wait for 10 minutes when the pressure is displayed to 1000 mbar, turn off the heater when the pressure is exhausted, and remove it The feeder, pour out the remaining liquid, and replace it with absolute ethanol;
8. Replace the next and second level receiving bottles, install empty bottles, unscrew the feeder, slowly inject absolute ethanol, and clean the equipment with the waste heat;
9. After cleaning, turn off the cooling water and rotor, remove the feeder and receiving bottle, and wash it;
10. Turn off the power and clean the countertop.
Precautions
1. Check whether the cooling water inlet and outlet valves are normally opened and the pressure is normal.
2. Check whether the inlet and outlet valves of the cooling water of each component are open.
3. The equipment is heated by hot oil, and the temperature is high. Do not touch it with your hands to avoid burns.
4. Check whether the ethanol in the cryostat is sufficient.
5. Pay attention to whether the liquid nitrogen in the liquid nitrogen tank is sufficient.
6. Check whether the connection between the cold well and the equipment is airtight.
